Paradigm Mahogany Classic Series Drums are built from Keller Vintage Mahogany shells.  The mahogany/poplar combination shells are an updated version of the shells found in some of the most sought after vintage drums.  The sound is full and dark.

Paradigm Maple Standard Series Drums are built from Keller maple shells in an eight-ply tom, ten-ply bass drum configuration.  These drums offer clear, focused tone and plenty of projection.

Paradigm Maple Thin Series Drums are built from Keller maple shells.  The combination of six-ply toms with eight-ply bass drums yields kits with meaty low end response and a sweet, satisfying resonance.

Paradigm Maple Classic Series Drums are built from Keller Vintage Maple shells.  These shells are a blend of maple and poplar plies with maple reinforcement rings, a throwback to the classic punchy, round tones of the 60’s and 70’s.

Paradigm Acrylic Series Drums are built from acrylic shells in the tradition of Ludwig Vistalites and Fibes acrylic drums.  Acrylic shells produce a clear tone and pure resonance not found in wood shell drums.  And you can see through them.  Acrylic shells are available in a wide range of transparent hues as well as translucent sparkles and bowling ball swirls.

Paradigm can build kits in custom configurations or with unusual shell construction.  Entire kits built from single-ply steambent shells or stave shells are possible.  If you want something you don’t see listed, drop me an email.

Paradigm Mahogany Classic Series Drums are built from Keller Vintage Mahogany shells.  The mahogany/poplar combination shell with maple reinforcement rings is an updated version of the shell found in some of the most sought after vintage drums.  The sound is full and dark.  Mahogony got kind of a bad rep due to some early manufacturers’ use of cheap wood and poor construction techniques in their budget line drums.  Keller’s shells, on the other hand, are built to exacting standards with high quality African Mahogany and North American Poplar.  When used right, mahogany makes fantastic sounding drums.  These shells tend toward a darker, drier tone than their maple cousins, with plenty of attack and body.  Mahogany Classic Series drums are available wrapped or natural with a hand-rubbed oil finish.  Sizes are limited to those listed below.

Bass Drums

Paradigm Maple Thin Series Drums are built from Keller maple shells.  This is the kind of kit most people have in mind when they imagine a great sounding modern drumset.  The combination of six-ply toms with eight-ply bass drums yields kits with meaty low end response and a sweet, satisfying resonance.  The thin shells create the most sensitive drums Paradigm offers.  They are highly responsive, giving up full tone at the lightest touch.  They will be lower in pitch than comparably sized Maple Standard drums.  Maple Thin Series drums are available wrapped or in a variety of stains with a hand-rubbed oil finish.  A wide range of sizes are available.  Email for prices of sizes not listed.
